My printer is not printing from a laptop, but is printing from the desktop computer?

I’m not able to scan but able to make a copy, why?

Double-check for if you’re trying to scan from the automatic document feeder or from the glass. If from the glass then put the document on the feeder. My printer is making a copy but not printing anything from the computer?
